"Ju has a natural gift that is amazing to watch and not to be underestimated."

A naturally gifted horseman, Juvenal is continuing his education in the field of dressage on school masters as well as training horses that other trainers are anxious to approach. His quiet way allows formerly fearful or difficult horses to become partners and companions that bring joy to their owners. Since his arrival at TBDF all the horses he cares for have become calmer and more amenable to handling not just by him but by all the clients of TBDF.

Pat Jackson, a client who has had two horses trained by Ju says: "We bought a horse at the Fasig Tipton Sales in Saratoga and she raced for a year before becoming injured. After a lay-up, she recovered but was exceedingly hard to handle. Ju took her on as a project and the transformation has been amazing. From her ground manners to her development of a sense of partnership with her rider, she has made continued progress. Ju has an ability to communicate with her that is never threatening but assumes respect and she has responded to his patience."

Juvenal brings to There Be Dragons Farm a lifetime of experience working with horses. He originally started riding as a young boy on cow horses in Brazil. He worked cattle while riding bareback and trained horses and mules to work in all aspects of ranch work. His innate understanding of their physical needs allows him to find and assist in the recovery of horses whose bodies have seen the brunt of poor training and handling.
